Major triad includes 1st, 3rd and 5th notes of a major scale.
Chord symbol for a major triad is simple a capital letter:- C = C major triad
- F = F major triad
- G = G major triad

Minor triad includes 1st, 3rd and 5th notes of a minor scale.
Chord symbol for minor triad includes: Root and letter m. For example:- Dm = D minor triad
- Am = A minor triad
- Em = E minor triad
