How many times per minute do your heart beats right now?

Look for a point in your body where you feel your heart rate, such as your wrist, neck or throat.

Measure for an entire minute or 15 seconds, whereby the result should be multiplied by four (4 x 15 = 60 seconds, or one minute). So if your heart beats 20 times in 15 seconds, your heart rate is 80 times per minute.

The human heart rate can vary from about 40 to 200.
